What This Feature Does:

Course Settings allow you to customize how your course appears and how learners can access it within your Membership Project. You can update the course name, description, access rules, visibility, and course thumbnail—all from one place.

Before You Begin

Before configuring your course settings, ensure that:

  • You have created a Membership Project.
  • At least one course has been added to the project.
  • You have permission to edit the Membership Project.

Steps to Configure Course Settings

Step 1: Open Your Membership Project

Log in to your account and open the Membership Project that contains the course you want to edit.

Step 2: Go to the Course Section

Inside your Membership Project, navigate to the Courses section where all the courses are listed.

Step 3: Open Course Settings

Find the course you want to modify and click Course Settings.

Step 4: Configure Your Course

A Course Settings pop-up will appear.

You can update the following options:

1. Course Name

Enter or edit the name of your course.

Example: Instead of Course 1, use a descriptive name like Complete Digital Marketing Masterclass.

2. Course Short Description

Add a short description that helps learners understand what the course is about. This description is displayed inside the Membership Area.

Tip: Keep the description brief and clearly explain what users will learn.

3. Course Access Settings

Choose how learners will gain access to the course.

Option A: Begin Access at a Specific Date

Select a date if you want all enrolled learners to access the course on a fixed date.

Common use cases:

  • Cohort-based programs
  • Live training programs
  • Scheduled course launches

Option B: Restrict Access for a Specific Number of Days

Specify the number of days after purchase when the course should become available.

For example:

  • Purchase Date: 1 July
  • Access Delay: 7 days
  • Course Unlocks: 8 July

Common use cases:

  • Drip content
  • Weekly lesson releases
  • Preventing users from consuming the entire course at once

Hide Course

Enable Hide Course if you don't want users who haven't purchased the course to see it in their Membership Dashboard.

When enabled:

  • Purchased users can view the course.
  • Non-purchased users will not see the course in their dashboard.

Recommended for: Premium or paid-only courses.

5. Upload Course Image

Upload a thumbnail or cover image for your course.

This image is displayed on the Membership Dashboard and helps learners easily identify the course.

Best Practices:

  • Use a high-quality image.
  • Maintain a consistent design across all course thumbnails.
  • Avoid blurry or stretched images.

Common Scenarios

I changed the course name, but learners still see the old name.

  • Refresh the page.
  • Log out and log back into the Membership Area.
  • Ensure the changes were saved successfully before exiting the settings.

My course is not visible to learners.

Check the following:

  • Is Hide Course enabled?
  • Has the learner purchased the course?
  • Is the course scheduled to start on a future date?
  • Is access restricted by the number of days after purchase?

Learners cannot access the course even after purchasing it.

Verify that:

  • The purchase was completed successfully.
  • The learner has been granted access to the Membership Project.
  • The access date has already arrived.
  • The drip access period has completed.

The uploaded course image is not appearing.

Try the following:

  • Refresh the Membership Dashboard.
  • Upload the image again.
  • Ensure the image format is supported.
  • Verify that the image upload completed successfully before saving.
