Course Video Won't Play or Keeps Buffering — How to Fix

Modified on Wed, 24 Jun at 9:51 AM

Overview

You can log in and open your course, but the video won't play — it just keeps buffering or shows a blank screen. In almost every case, this is caused by your internet network (Wi-Fi), not by the course or your device. Some Wi-Fi networks and internet providers block video streaming through a firewall, even though normal pages load fine.

Video Not Playing in the Membership Area? Try This

In almost every case, this is caused by your internet network (Wi-Fi), not by the course or your device. Some Wi-Fi networks and internet providers block video streaming through a firewall, even though normal pages load fine.

Quickest Fix: Switch Your Network

1. Turn off your Wi-Fi.

2. Connect to your mobile data/phone hotspot instead.

3. Reload the course and press Play.

If the video plays now, your Wi-Fi was the problem.

If It Still Doesn't Play

Try these in order:

1. Test the course on another device (phone or tablet).

2. Disable browser extensions (ad-blockers, downloaders, VPNs), or open the course in an incognito window.

3. Pause antivirus/security software briefly and try again.

If Switching to Mobile Data Fixed It

Your Wi-Fi or internet provider is blocking the video. Contact your internet provider and ask them to remove any video/streaming restriction or firewall on the course domain. Until that's sorted, use mobile data to watch your videos.
