Churn Protection on Autopilot

Failed payments don't have to mean lost subscribers. FlexiFunnels automatically works to recover payments and keep customers informed, so you lose fewer subscriptions without any manual follow-up.

What's Included

Smart Retries

If a payment fails, FlexiFunnels automatically tries to charge the customer again, giving temporary issues like low balance a chance to clear.

Pre-Charge Reminder Emails

Customers get an email before their upcoming charge, so the payment doesn't catch them by surprise.

Failed Payment Reasons in Plain Language

When a payment fails, the reason is shown in simple, easy-to-understand terms, such as "insufficient funds" or "card expired", instead of technical gateway codes. This helps you and your customer fix the problem quickly.

Configurable Grace Period

Choose how long a customer keeps access after a failed payment: 3, 5, 7 or 14 days. Access is locked only after this period ends without payment.

How It Works

  1. Before the charge, the customer receives a reminder email.
  2. If the payment fails, the reason is recorded in plain language and smart retries begin.
  3. The customer keeps access during your grace period.
  4. If the payment is recovered, the subscription continues as normal.
  5. If it isn't recovered by the end of the grace period, access is locked.

Key Points

  • Fully automatic: No manual reminders, retries or follow-ups.
  • You control the grace period: Pick the option that fits your business.
  • Clear reasons: Know exactly why a payment failed.

FAQs

Do customers lose access as soon as a payment fails?

No. They keep access until your grace period ends.

Which grace period should I choose?

A shorter period (3 or 5 days) suits time-sensitive access. A longer one (7 or 14 days) gives customers more time to fix payment issues.

Can I turn off the reminder emails?

Reminder emails are part of the churn protection flow. If you need them adjusted, contact our support team.

Where can I see why a payment failed?

In the subscription or payment details in your dashboard.

Troubleshooting

  • Customer says they didn't get a reminder email: Ask them to check their spam or promotions folder and confirm their email address is correct.
  • Payment keeps failing after retries: Check the failure reason. The customer may need to update their card or contact their bank.
  • Access locked sooner or later than expected: Check the grace period set for the product (3, 5, 7 or 14 days).
