Automation rules let you act on subscription events automatically. When something happens in a subscription, such as a renewal or a failed payment, FlexiFunnels can tag the customer in your autoresponder or send the data to the other tools you use.
Subscription Triggers
There are 10 subscription triggers available. Some examples:
- Subscription renewed
- Payment failed
- Subscription cancelled
- Card about to expire
- Trial converted
What You Can Do With a Trigger
- Tag customers in your autoresponder: For example, tag customers whose payment failed so you can send them a targeted email sequence.
- Send data to your CRM: Keep customer records updated automatically.
- Send data to Zapier or Make: Connect subscription events to thousands of other apps.
- Send alerts to Slack: Get notified in your team's channel when something important happens.
How It Works
- A subscription event happens, such as a trial converting to a paid subscription.
- The matching trigger fires.
- The action you've set up runs automatically: a tag is added, or the data is sent to your connected tool.
Key Points
- Hands-free: Actions run automatically every time the event happens.
- Works with your existing tools: Autoresponder, CRM, Zapier, Make and Slack.
- Act at the right moment: For example, reach out before a card expires or welcome a customer when their trial converts.
FAQs
What is a webhook?
A webhook automatically sends subscription data to another tool the moment an event happens, so you don't need to copy it manually.
Do I need Zapier or Make to use this?
No. They're optional. You can also tag customers in your autoresponder or send data directly to your CRM or Slack.
Can I use more than one trigger?
Yes. You can set up different actions for different triggers.
Can I use one trigger for multiple actions?
Yes. For example, a failed payment can both tag the customer and send a Slack alert.
Troubleshooting
- Tag not added to the customer: Check that your autoresponder is connected and that the tag or list is selected for that trigger.
- Data not reaching Zapier, Make, your CRM or Slack: Check that the webhook URL is entered correctly and that the receiving tool is active.
- Automation didn't run for an event: Confirm the trigger is enabled and that the event actually happened on that subscription.
